great golftasty foodknowledgeable manager
I enjoyed the golf course. It was in great condition. barney's had tasty food with reasonable prices. matt, the hotel manager, seemed very knowledgeable about various hotel packages. he clearly understood the offerings.
The hotel does look somewhat tired and could use some updating. I noticed this most in the hallways.

the breakfast buffet had a wide selection of pastries and hot items, i enjoyed the fresh fruit. the carrington grill served a delicious beef ragu pasta and the service was really good. our waitress, phoebe, was especially helpful and friendly.
the room was a bit too warm, even with the window open.

The hotel is conveniently located near several local attractions. access to public transportation is easy, nice for convenient exploration of the surrounding areas. I found it great. the grounds are well kept.

relaxing stay with great service
patio windowsfriendly serviceroaring fire
i was really impressed with the barney's clubhouse after playing golf. the views from the patio windows were amazing, and there was a roaring fire inside. jill provided great friendly service. we were all actually surprised by the clubhouse. (i didn't expect it to be so cozy!)
the spa day was good overall, but the extra massage i paid for felt overpriced and average. i probably wouldn't book it again.

i had a fab evening meal in the carrington grill, and sophia was a great server. she asked about allergies and allowed plenty of time to choose the meal. the food in the main restaurant was delicious.
